Spring Hockey
Newton Youth Hockey spring teams play in the VHL Spring Hockey League.
There are no tryouts for this program. Spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If there is sufficient interest, we may add additional teams.
Age Groups
*** UPDATE: We will only be having an 18U team this season. The roster is currently full, but email president@newtonyouthhockey.com to be added to the waitlist.
Subject to sufficient interest, NYH will be fielding teams at the following age classifications. Note that players play with their age group for next season.
- Squirt/10U (2016-2017)
- Peewee/12U (2014-2015)
- Bantam/14U (2012-2013)
- Midget/18U (2008-2011)
Season
Spring hockey runs from May to late June. This is a games-only program with one pre-season practice.
Games typically take place on weekends, but occasional weeknight games are possible.
Locations
League games are typically held at VHL rinks, including Malden, Lawrence, Haverhill, and Hockeytown.
Fees
Tuition for spring hockey is $300 for players and is FREE for goalies this season.
